ASSESSMENT AND SELECTION SERVICES

The Assessment and Selection Team offers many tools and services to help agencies get the right people for their positions.
Assessment and Selection Consultants are available to assist employers in the development of a wide variety of screening and assessment tools, such as written examinations, interviews and oral examinations, training and experience questionnaires, assessment centers and physical agility tests.
Assistance with Job Analysis
The Assessment and Selection Team also provides consulting expertise on job analysis by facilitating meetings with subject matter experts, reviewing employer job analysis information and providing training on how to conduct a job analysis.
Training and Consultation in Other Areas
Other training courses and consultation services are available upon request and may include training in such areas as test development, conducting a valid and reliable interview process and productivity and metrics development.

SELECTION TOOL KIT

This Tool Kit is a dynamic document and will be continuously improved.

The ultimate goal of selection is to obtain the most suitable candidate for the position in question. The hiring authority preparing the selection plan must analyze all relevant factors, including the cost, ease of use, and effectiveness of different selection system alternatives. This results in the hiring authority utilizing previously used interview questions to conduct interviews of candidates provided on the hiring list. This approach is the least costly approach and easiest to use, but is less effective than other alternatives. The purpose of this Toolkit is to provide more effective selection systems that are beneficial in both cost and ease of use.

Only use these Tools after completing a Job Analysis and receiving approval from the Selection Manager or HR Satellite Office Manager.
